OPEN CARRY POLICY

The Diocese of Dallas values the safety of its parishioners and guests. It is the policy of the Diocese of Dallas that firearms are not carried on any property owned by the Diocese, its entities, or its parishes or schools.

Pursuant to Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter any property with a handgun that is carried openly. Unlicensed holders may not enter any property with a handgun that is carried openly.

Texas law also prohibits the possession of a firearm on the physical premises of a school and any grounds on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted.
